Trip to the Hugh Lane gallery.

On Thursday the 21st of January, my class and I went on a trip to the art gallery. We went with two girls from the teachers college. A week before we went to the gallery the two girls were in our class and they helped us draw portraits. I drew one of Killian. On the day when we were going to the gallery it was raining, but we still walked up .When we got there we met our tour guide, her name was Olive. The first painting she showed us was a painting by Ciaran Lennon, he painted stuff on copper. One of them looked like a water fall and the other one looks like lava. Both of them were excellent. Then we went to see paintings of Francis Bacon’s family. When Francis Bacon was a child he had asthma. His dad had alot of animals so that was very bad for his asthma but finally when he was sixteen he moved out. He had about three houses they were all very nice. Then
We moved to see the studio. After that we saw a few more paintings but then it was time to go so we all said thank you to Olive and headed home. I really enjoyed it!
